Multi-environment analysis of grain yield and quality traits in oat (Avena sativa L.)

چکیده
Oat is used for food, in animal feeding and non-food products. Twenty-five oat genotypes were evaluated at six different environments to determine high-yielding, good-quality stable genotypes. Experiments conducted randomized blocks design with 4 replications. Grain yield, plant height, test weight, thousand-grain screening percentage, groat protein, ?-glucan starch contents 25 Genotype, environment genotype × interaction had extremely important effects on yield quality of grains. The additive main multiplicative interactions analysis disclosed environmental addition by according grain yield. Using AMMI analysis, three promising (G1, G3 G4) defined comparison the cultivars these 4.03, 3.77 3.70 t ha-1, respectively. AMMI-2 biplot revealed that E6 was most discriminating Genotype-by-trait (GT) explained 54.9% total variation. positive associated all traits except height. G1, G4 genotypes, which showed best performance higher stability, also good traits.

Hay yield and quality of oat (Avena sativa L.) genotypes of worldwide origin
Oat (Avena sativa L.) traditionally has been a major crop for feed and forage in Turkey. Theobjective of this research was to study hay yield and quality of oat genotypes harvested at thelate milk stage. One hundred oat varieties of worldwide origin were compared in fieldexperiments in Samsun (northern Turkey) over two growing seasons (2007-2008 and 2008-2009).Significant differences between th...
متن کاملA major gene for grain cadmium accumulation in oat (Avena sativa L.).
Cadmium (Cd) is a nonessential heavy metal that is highly toxic to living cells at very low concentrations. Most of the Cd in plants derives from soils. Owing to the large amounts consumed, cereals are the major source of dietary Cd, and Cd content in oat can exceed accepted limits. Plants have a set of mechanisms that control the uptake, accumulation, trafficking, and detoxification of Cd and ...
متن کاملAssociation mapping for yield and grain quality traits in rice (Oryza sativa L.)
Association analysis was applied to a panel of accessions of Embrapa Rice Core Collection (ERiCC) with 86 SSR and field data from two experiments. A clear subdivision between lowland and upland accessions was apparent, thereby indicating the presence of population structure. Thirty-two accessions with admixed ancestry were identified through structure analysis, these being discarded from associ...
متن کاملMechanisms of oat (Avena sativa L.) acclimation to phosphate deficiency
Background Deficiency of available forms of phosphorus is common in most soils and causes reduction of crop plants growth and yield. Recently, model plants responses to phosphate (Pi) deficiency have been intensively studied. However, acclimation mechanisms of cereals like oat (Avena sativa L.), to low Pi stress remains not fully understood. Oat plants have been usually cultured on poor soils, ...
